DESCRIPTION:Join us for a men’s retreat where again we will explore masculinity\, brotherhood and ways to find a deeper understanding of our purpose in life.\nThe narrative self can be seen like an illusion or construct that limits our thinking and emotional experience. It’s essentially the ego\, the collection of roles and stories that we’ve come to associate with “who we are.” On the other hand\, there is another more authentic Self that can be seen more like an internal witness or observer. It observes our thoughts\, emotions\, and actions from a detached standpoint and possesses innate wisdom and compassion.\nA life purpose derived from the Authentic Self tends to be more aligned and wholesome because it emanates from a place of deeper understanding and acceptance of one’s true nature. Unlike the narrative self\, which is shaped by societal expectations\, past experiences\, and the roles we feel we have to play\, the Authentic Self is untainted by these external influences. This allows for a life purpose that is in harmony with one’s intrinsic values\, talents\, and inclinations.\nDuring this 4-day retreat\, the primary aim is to explore how to separate the narrative self from a more “Authentic Self” and we will also work on training ways to consciously program our nervous systems in a way so that we can stay calm under pressure and be “In the eye of the storm”.\nThrough solo and partner exercises we will as men explore what happens when we are triggered\, how it changes our behavior and what to do about it. How to become better at dealing with conflict\, communication\, setting boundaries and how all of lives issues can be worked on through the nervous system.\nWe will be using group sharings and group exercises\, somatic explorations and mind-body practices for you to get a clearer impression of where you are at in your life – and what your particular purpose(s) in life could be.\nIn this retreat you will experience: \nTwo Shamanic tea ceremonies\nSomatic explorations\, meditations and exercises to explore the Self\nNervous system programming aka NSP training\nAn open loving masculine brotherhood\nDeep connections\, support and time for bonding\nBeautiful natural surroundings \nAfter the retreat there is the possibility of adding a personal 1:1 therapeutic integration package with 3 online sessions of 60-75 minutes for DKK 1.850\,- \nIf you are at a stage in your life where you feel the need to change\, to deepen or get clearer on what you are doing\, this retreat is for you. \nYour facilitators at this course will be Aske Ludvig Rask\, Bjarne Roursgaard and Dennis Lundtoft Thomsen. \nPractical information: \nDate: Wednesday 29 November to Sunday 3 December \nCheck in at the venue will be from 18 to 1830 on the 29 November. It is possible to arrive the day before the event. Just let us know. \nIn order to prepare for this weekend\, you will need to do a special diet for a few days and prepare. We will send out a preparation e-mail with information for you two weeks before the event. \nLanguage: The language of this event is English. If all participants understand Danish fully we will host the retreat in Danish. Dennis is a registered psychodynamic\, cognitive and somatic therapist and certified Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapist.
