SUMMARY:Mens retreat 1-5 December 2022 - CEMaH
DESCRIPTION:Where are you heading in your life? Do you have an idea of where you are going\, who you want to become and how to get there? Are you going through some significant changes in your relationships and what you value as important? \nAs men\, we can find that a sense of purpose is necessary for a good life. It can give us a feeling that we are growing\, learning and therefore that our lives are meaningful. \nIn this retreat we will combine two shamanic tea ceremonies with inquiries into three different layers of life purpose namely personal\, relational and spiritual. \nThis time with a focus on learning ways to program our nervous system in a way so that we can stay calm under pressure and be “In the eye of the storm”. \nTriggers of the nervous system define your behavior as a human being. We are essentially animals with extra brain power and everything in our surroundings turns on the nervous system in certain ways. Life for many people is like a storm where these triggers take control of us\, push and pull us around\, and no matter how badly we want to change\, go new ways\, deal with issues in a different manor\, we’ll get pulled back to the old behavior. \nWhat is the difference between working with breathing as a therapeutic technique and as a everyday tool to control the nervous system no matter where you are? \nThrough solo and partner exercises we will as men explore what happens when we are triggered\, how it changes our behavior and what to do about it. How to become better at dealing with conflict\, communication\, setting boundaries and how all of lives issues can be worked on through the nervous system. \nWe will be using group sharings and group exercises\, somatic explorations and mind-body practices for you to get a clearer impression of where you are at in your life – and what your particular purpose(s) in life could be. \nAs part of this we will ask and seek the answer to what happens when head\, heart and guts inform each other and work together\, so that a truly healthy manhood may arise? \nIn this retreat you will experience: \n\nTwo Shamanic tea ceremonies\nPurpose workshops\nNervous system programming aka NSP training\nTwo virtual integration workshops\nAn open loving masculine brotherhood\nDeep connections\, support and time for bonding\nBeautiful natural surroundings\n\nIncluded in this are also two virtual integration workshops and the possibility for adding a personal 1:1 therapeutic integration package with 3 online sessions of 60-75 minutes for DKK 1.500\,- \nIf you are at a stage in your life where you feel the need to change\, to deepen or get clearer on what you are doing\, this retreat is for you. \nYour facilitators at this course will be Aske Ludvig Rask\, Bjarne Roursgaard and Dennis Lundtoft Thomsen. \nPractical information: \nDate: Thursday 1 December to Monday 5 December \nCheck in at the venue will be from 18 to 1830 on the 1 December. It is possible to arrive the day before the event. Just let us know. \nThe retreat will be followed up with two virtual integration workshops. Dates of those will be informed at the retreat. \nIn order to prepare for this weekend\, you will need to do a special diet for a few days and prepare. We will send out a preparation e-mail with information for you two weeks before the event. \nLanguage: The language of this event is English. If all participants understand Danish fully we will host the retreat in Danish. Dennis is a trained psychodynamic\, cognitive and somatic therapist and certified Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapist.
